Custom-painted motocross helmet with goggles

Custom Helmet
Painting

Match the lid to the bike, or run something entirely your own. Prepped, sprayed and cleared in our booth.

A helmet is the one piece of kit everybody sees and almost nobody personalises. It’s also a small enough canvas that a custom job is one of the cheapest ways into real custom paint.

What we do

  • Full colour changes — solid, candy, metallic or pearl.
  • Graphics and airbrush — lettering, murals, tribal, skulls.
  • Bike-matched schemes so the lid reads as part of the build.
  • Clear coat over the top for depth and protection.

Prep is the whole job

Helmet shells are not car panels. The prep, the products and the cure all have to suit the shell, and paint that’s laid on badly will lift at the edges within a season. We prep for the shell in front of us.

One thing worth being straight about: painting a helmet means working on safety equipment. We work on the outer shell finish and leave the structure alone. If a helmet has taken an impact, replace it — don’t paint it. We’ll say so if we think that’s the situation.

Matching a bike

If the bike is in for tank and fairing work, bring the helmet at the same time. Same colours, same batch, same booth — that’s how you get a genuine match instead of a close one.
