Blacked-out Indian cruiser on the Redline shop floor

Safety & Pre-Purchase
Inspections

A proper look over the whole bike — before the season, or before you hand cash to a stranger.

Two different jobs, same discipline: go over the machine properly and write down what’s actually there.

Safety inspection

A full check before the riding season, after a long lay-up, or any time the bike feels off and you can’t place why. Brakes, tyres, chain and sprockets, steering head and bearings, suspension, lights, levels, leaks and fasteners. You get told what’s urgent, what’s worth watching, and what’s fine — which is the part most people don’t get told.

Pre-purchase inspection

Buying used is where the money goes wrong fastest. A bike that runs for ten minutes in a driveway can be hiding a tired top end, crash damage under fresh plastics, a seized caliper or a title problem. Bring it here — or send the seller here — before you pay.

  • Mechanical condition, compression and how it actually runs warm.
  • Signs of a crash or a rebuild behind the bodywork.
  • Wear on the parts that cost real money to put right.
  • A straight opinion on whether the asking price makes sense.

We also sell bikes ourselves, so we know exactly what gets hidden and where. If you’d rather buy something already gone through, see what we have in stock — everything we list is sold with a clean title in hand.

Back to repair for everything else we handle in this part of the shop.
